Team Fabrications: The Great Boat Build-off

Imagine you’re afloat the ocean blue with nothing but a cardboard box and a paddle to get you to shore. During The Great Boat Build-off,
teams of 4-6 must brainstorm, plan, build and test a vessel of their own creation. Once built and presented to the other team, the boats are
“tested” in open water, and only the successful stay dry. Teams will be given a brief introduction to the challenge. 15-30 minutes planning time
will be granted, followed by 60-90 minutes of actual construction time. Racing the boats takes 15-30 minutes. Each team will also be responsible
for preparing a sales pitch as to why their boat is the “best.” Boats will then race against one another with one pre-determined member of the
team skippering the vessel on its maiden voyage. Everyone helps cleanup. Wear your swimsuit! Poolside.

Invisible Children is committed to bringing the story of the people of northern Uganda to the youth of America. Our summer camp program is
