Meet the Camp Directors
Melissa has been married for 28 years to her husband Ben Spigener. They have 3 kids, Eden, Andrew and Oakley who have all been counselors at Camp West. Melissa has over 25 years of experience working with children. She started as a camper at the age of 6 and then went on to work as a counselor at multiple camps. Her ultimate goal is to ensure that each camper makes friends, forms a bond with their counselor, is introduced to Jesus and makes lasting memories.

Join our staff
Camp West counselors consist of high school and college-age students who are committed to living their life for Jesus. These counselors boldly share their faith and are Godly role models to campers as well as their peers.
At Camp West, we know that parents are entrusting their children to us. That's why we carefully select each counselor that we hire and every counselor agrees to a background check.
Our counselors strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Making sure every camper is included, listened to and engaged with individually.

"My favorite thing about being a counselor is making connections with the campers. Whether it was at arts and crafts or learning about God's love, we always had a fun time."
"Camp is so fun! There's never a dull moment and the kids are wonderful. I look forward to it every year."
"Working for Camp West has been one of the greatest work experiences so far in my life. You couldn't ask for a better work environment where you're surrounded by others eager to spread the Word of God and have fun!
